We help art teachers and their students by providing supplies that they could otherwise not afford. Our Art-In-A-Box program benefited over 4800 K-12 students at 19 schools with your generous contributions this year! Our goal is to increase the number of students we impact through your support.
I would like to thank you so much for the amazing art supplies you donated to our school. In the past week, students have been enthusiastically creating and experimenting with the materials and I know they will be especially excited when I introduce the air-dry clay. I've included a few pictures of students testing out their new artistic options and will send more as projects get finished. Thank you for supporting our school and helping grow our art program, Ms. Stashia Taylor, Strive Preparatory School
The kids have really enjoyed their art supplies as I have. We all send the warmest hugs and most sincere THANK YOU the world has to offer. You have really helped me brighten these kids' lives and I will be eternally grateful to you and the Philip Steele Foundation.
Mr Anthony Lopez, Kindergarten Art, Alamosa Elementary School
Allow me to mention just one example of how this award is helpful to our school. The 'Art Boxes' contained both liquid watercolors and the pans-in-a-tray type of watercolor sets. While the liquid paints provide not only vivid color but also a greater opportunity for skill-building, the self-contained trays make watercolor painting much more accessible for students with limited coordination and dexterity. This is a perfect fit, as one of my current goals for our fledgling Art program was to integrate as many students with physical disabilities into our classes as possible!
