$40,000 Goal

Resource Central's programs have helped 1,000,000 community members tackle climate change by saving water, conserving energy, and reducing waste—and there is much more work to do. Together we can help families prepare for the next drought, reduce utility bills, foster a culture of reuse, and take climate action.

With your support, we can create the world's most popular programs to influence climate action:

- Materials Reuse: Build a national model for reducing waste.

- Water Programs: Make waterwise landscapes the norm in Colorado.

Mission

The mission of Resource Central is to empower people to live more sustainably and make conservation a way of life.

Background Statement

Resource Central was founded in 1976 (originally as the Boulder Energy Conservation Center) by a group of community-minded citizens seeking ways to help reduce our dependence on non-renewable resources.

Over the last 49 years, the organization has become an integral part of the Front Range community and now throughout the state, partnering with 50+ local governments and water providers and thousands of individuals who are living more sustainably by saving water and reusing building materials.
