Radian is a nonprofit architecture and urban design organization advancing social equity in the built environment. We center the expertise and lived experiences of community members, ensuring those most impacted by design and planning decisions have a meaningful voice in shaping their communities.
Through community engagement, design, planning, and technical assistance, we partner with residents, nonprofits, and public agencies to co-design the spaces, places, and policies that create healthier, more inclusive neighborhoods across Colorado. From heritage trails and neighborhood parks to housing advocacy and community-led planning efforts, we help bridge the gap between lived experience and implementation.
Founded in 2012, Radian was created in response to the inequities embedded in our built environment that have limited access to opportunity, health, and community investment for far too many residents. Our work centers the expertise and lived experiences of community members, ensuring that those most impacted by design and planning decisions have a meaningful voice in shaping their neighborhoods.
Recent initiatives include the 303 ArtWay Heritage Trail, Your City, Your Voice: RNO Policy Co-Design, and the Montbello Landscape Transformation Project, alongside numerous community partnerships that advance belonging, climate resilience, mobility, and neighborhood leadership throughout Colorado.
Every contribution helps communities access the design expertise, partnerships, and advocacy needed to transform community knowledge into solutions, community vision into reality, and neighborhoods into places of belonging.

Putting Community First: A Halloween Benefit for Radian
This year, we're celebrating community in a new way.
On October 22, Radian will host Putting Community First: A Halloween Benefit for Radian, our first annual fundraising event bringing together neighbors, partners, supporters, and community leaders for an evening of connection, mini golf, and fun.
While we're excited to celebrate together in October, this page is also Radian's year-round fundraising home. Whether you purchase a ticket, become a sponsor, or make a donation today, your support helps sustain community-centered design, planning, and technical assistance throughout the year.
Every contribution helps residents transform community knowledge into solutions, community vision into reality, and neighborhoods into places of belonging.

Mission
To advance social equity in the built environment.
Vision
We envision a Colorado where residents, especially those who have historically been excluded from design and planning, have the agency, resources, and power to shape their communities.
Radian envisions communities where residents, especially those who have been historically underrepresented in design and planning, have the agency, resources, and power to shape the places they call home.
Our work recognizes that discriminatory policies and systemic inequities embedded throughout the built environment have created lasting disparities in health, wealth, opportunity, and representation. We believe these challenges are best addressed by partnering with communities and centering the expertise and lived experiences of the people most impacted by design and planning decisions.
Through community engagement, architecture, planning, and technical assistance, we help bridge the gap between lived experience and implementation. Working alongside trusted community organizations, public agencies, and neighborhood leaders, we co-design the spaces, places, and policies that create healthier, more inclusive, and more resilient communities.
Our projects support communities of color, low-income families, newcomers, our unhoused neighbors, and others who have historically experienced barriers to participating in planning and design processes. Guided by the principles of design justice, we view design as a tool for advancing equity by prioritizing community leadership, shared decision-making, and outcomes that reflect residents' aspirations for their neighborhoods.
