Caring & connecting through your journey of options and life decisions. At PRC, we offer FREE pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, STD testing, prenatal education, mentoring & parenting classes. We also provide FREE resources to our community (i.e. diapers, wipes, formula, baby food and clothing).

Pregnancy Resource Connection Inc (PRC) is a Christ-centered, nonprofit organization serving Grand and Jackson counties.
PRC empowers people, men and women, young and old, by listening to their needs, supporting them with life affirming options, resources and education, and connecting with individuals and families dealing with planned or unplanned pregnancies.
Background Statement
The Pregnancy Resource Connection is a nonprofit organization in Grand County Colorado. Grand County is a rural area with 38% of the population living below poverty. All services are available with no charge.
Pregnancy Resource Connection began with one individual answering the phone and volunteering part time for several years. Now, We are open four days a week, operate with the assistance of ten volunteers, two volunteer medical doctors, one registered nurse, and three part-time paid staff and a 6 member Board of Directors.
Many women who receive help from Pregnancy Resource Connection do not have a strong family support system. Substance abuse, alcoholism, and broken parental relationships are challenges.
These young women need caring mentors to show them the most basic life skills and healthy parenting. We at Pregnancy Resource Connection provide prenatal education advisement, guidance and support throughout the pregnancy and beyond, and help mothers and families develop a parenting plan or possibly an adoption plan.
Our prenatal education helps a young woman understand the baby growing inside her and how her body will change. Before delivery she has the option to join a four-day childbirth preparation class with several other couples and develops a support system with other mothers. Pregnancy Resource Connection offers the only childbirth preparation class in Grand County.
Daily we have families come to Pregnancy Resource Connection in need of the most basic items: baby food, diapers, baby clothes, maternity clothes, formula, shoes, coats, and bedding. We are pleased to offer these items free because of donations from families in our community.
In many scenarios our young mothers have never received an OB/GYN exam. Seven years ago we began providing limited ultrasound, and this year, the Pregnancy Resource Connection is excited to announce we have contracted with Castle Rock Women’s Health clinic to expand the services at the PRC in Granby! This pilot program began in September and will continue once a month through spring of 2024. Virtual appointments are also be available as needed. We will then evaluate the impact in our community and expand hours dependent on the demand.
Services that will be offered are free or low cost (prescriptions and labs have to be outsourced for completion and therefore some costs do apply to the client. However CRWH works with insurance and medicaid to find the lowest cost possible!). Services include prenatal care up to 5 months gestation, post-partum care up to 3 months, fertility awareness, natural hormone therapy, full spectrum STI testing and treatment, reproductive loss support, well woman care and school physicals for girls.
Families would have to commute to Denver, Steamboat, or Frisco if these services were not provided. Due to finances, transportation, and work schedules, many of our clients would not make the trip.
