Mountain Youth Musicals

Mountain Youth Musicals is a nonprofit organization that seeks to encourage the love of music and theater by giving youth the opportunity to participate in a creative, nurturing and positive environment.  Our mission is to produce musicals with an emphasis on process, teamwork, leadership and joy; while instilling a strong work ethic with high performance and rehearsal expectations.  MYM consists of three programs, which together engage more than 80 students each year.  Our Base Camp Company of grades 3-5 perform a fall musical, while our Ascent Company of middle schoolers (grades 6-8) perform in the spring.  Our workshop program offers audition and stagecraft workshops to hone performance skills on stage, as well as technical production skills off stage.  MYM musicals entertain more than 800 attendees each year.  We have 150+ volunteers who donate more than 1,600 hours each year.  Local high school students have the opportunity to volunteer as student directors and stage crew, allowing them to develop valuable leadership and theater tech skills.  This year we hope to strengthen and grow our presence in the community and in the lives of our children.  We invite you, through your donation, to join us in this endeavor and to witness the magic of connecting and creating together through the magic of musical theater!
