We rely on generous donors to help us move our rescue's mission forward. We provide medically needed services to the pups in our care along with necessary supplies to our Lifesaver team members to prepare our puppies for their forever homes.

Yes there was some paperwork to fill out, however owning a dog is a huge commitment and a thorough adoption process is a sign of a responsible rescue ensuring that the dog/human partnership will be successful and last a lifetime. We adopted our puppy during the pandemic and found their covid guidelines for the meet and greet to be very well. Our puppy was in excellent health and looked very well taken care of. Communication with them was fast and clear. The adoption process was easier to apply than other rescues, as the forms were standard and they didn't require a home visit or photocopies of our mortgage statement or other PITA hoops to jump through. I would definitely recommend to a friend or adopt again if we weren't already outnumbered by the pets. Brad J.
IPPR is a wonderful organization and one of the best rescues I have had the pleasure of fostering for. Kim is absolutely wonderful and provides a positive experience for her foster families, something that isn't always easy. She does her due diligence in vetting applicants to ensure that her pups go to the best homes possible. Mission
Innocent Paws Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue devoted to helping mother dogs and their pups move out of overcrowded shelters and into loving homes. Our mission is to help decompress high volume overcrowded shelters and reduce euthanasia rates by removing vulnerable mother pups and their litters, and motherless litters from these environments. Once removed we provide nurturing foster environments and any needed medical attention and emotional support to ready them for adoption. From there our goal is to connect these pups with a well matched, loving, and committed lifelong family.
Background Statement
Innocent Paws Puppy Rescue was birthed in 2018 as a result of the founder's desire to help mother dogs, their litters, and motherless litters who end up in overcrowded shelters. She herself had rescued a former puppy mill breeding female who knew nothing about being a pet as she was used mainly for breeding. This experience catapulted her into animal rescue where she learned first-hand about the overwhelming needs of rural community shelters who continuously struggle from the effects of the pet overpopulation epidemic. The founder, a former neonatal intensive care nurse, realized that the niche of mother dogs and their litters needing rescue was where she could share her nursing gifts to give shelter dogs a second chance at a better life. Since its inception, Innocent Paws Puppy Rescue has rescued and placed over 400 puppies and their moms in loving forever homes.
