Sharon's Emergency Support Fund for Hope
$2,100 Raised
Hope Communities provides housing support to over 3,500 individuals each year. We also offer a range of programs and services to help community members meet basic needs, access healthcare, and learn how to secure better jobs. Help us further our vision of a community in which everyone has a safe place to call home and the resources they need to thrive.
"I never feel uncomfortable to come and talk to anyone and express my needs or feelings or anything. It gives you a sense of community when you can communicate so freely with people. We feel supported. My granddaughter went through a period of time where she was running away, and that was very stressful. And the neighbors and office people rallied around me and supported me in a way that I would not have anticipated."
"I have been a long-time supporter of Hope Communities because I've seen first-hand the vital role they play in the community. Hope Communities not only provides safe affordable housing, but they are building healthy communities by providing critical services that contribute to economic stability and mobility."
"Miss Amber helped me get a tutor. And my brother was able to get that, too. And with that, his grades have improved so much. And I don't know how to thank them! I always tell my parents [Hope Communities] are little angels from heaven to just come in and sweep you off your feet with any help that you need."
(Statements from clients of Hope Communities)
We strengthen communities and provide pathways to economic and personal opportunity through affordable housing, educational programs and support services.
Hope Communities, Inc. was founded in 1980 by a citizen group concerned with the lack of decent, affordable housing in Denver. Beginning in the historic Five Points neighborhood, Hope Communities' geographic focus has expanded to include the city's northeast quadrant and East Colfax Avenue. While the development and operation of affordable housing has remained central, programs in education and community-building were added to assist residents and community members in reaching economic self-sufficiency.
