For sixty years, Havern School has been the place where neurodiverse learners stop struggling to fit in and start finding out who they are. Our students learn in a close-knit 4:1 environment, with specialized instruction and integrated therapies all under one roof. Because we’re an independent school, we don’t make kids wait. When a child needs something, we adapt right away, with no red tape.

The results show up in the hallways every day. A parent told us her 10-year-old now smiles at drop-off and smiles at pickup. His meltdowns have almost completely stopped, and he’s becoming a leader. Another parent said it plainly: every child deserves a school like Havern.

Then: For six decades, Havern has given kids who learn differently a place to be understood. Lily McDonald, one of our alumni, says she got her spirit at Havern. It taught her that her differences were something to be brave about.

Now: Today’s students get occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, on-campus mental health support, and social-emotional learning. All of it is woven into their school day, so every child feels safe, seen, and ready to learn.

Next: Havern is moving to a new home. It’s a once-in-a-generation chance to build the future of this school, and we want our whole community to be part of it.

Tuition doesn’t cover the full cost of a Havern education. Your Colorado Gives Day gift fills that gap. It keeps our ratios small, our therapists in the classroom, and our doors open to families who need us.

• $19.66 — A nod to 1966, the year Havern opened its doors. Buys fidgets and sensory tools for a classroom calm-down corner.
• $60 — One dollar for every year Havern has served Colorado kids. Buys noise-reducing headphones for a student who gets overwhelmed by sound.
• $150 — Helps provide flexible seating, like wobble stools and cushions, so students who need to move can stay focused and learn.
• $500 — Helps fund speech-language sessions that build communication and confidence.
