Horizons Graland

A nonprofit organization

Horizons Graland is grateful for its community's support!

Horizons Graland is a learning and enrichment program, serving public school children in the Metro Denver area. Students dive into an academic program focused on reading and math skills, take part in swim lessons, and enjoy field trips and enrichment activities.

Our partner school, Graland Country Day School, hosts the Horizons program on its campus and provides in-kind support. Horizons Graland is funded by our generous community of donors.

While Horizons at Graland operates under the nonprofit status (501c3) of Graland Country Day School, our annual operating expenses are covered through contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Although we benefit greatly from the use of space and in-kind support, no direct funding is provided by Graland Country Day School. For this reason, we depend on the support of the community to ensure that our program thrives and prospers. We thank you in advance for your donation and involvement!

Background Statement

Horizons Graland launched in the summer of 2024. Following the Horizons National model, students enrolled in the program benefit from academic skill building, enrichment opportunities, swimming lessons, and field trips through a 6 week summer program and events throughout the year. In its first year, Horizons Colorado at Graland served students and families in the Aurora Public Schools District in partnership with the Metro Migrant Education Program. The Horizons program also partnered with the Jewish Community Center (JCC) for enrichment activities and swimming.

Graland Country Day School joined the Horizons National Program as an affiliate of Horizons Colorado. Founded in 1964 at New Canaan Country Day School, Horizons National has served over 10,000 students across the country, working to advance equitable learning opportunities. Horizons reinforces a student’s success by utilizing a proven educational model, operational metrics and assessments to measure and evaluate growth. The Horizons vision is a future in which every child thrives and has the opportunity to succeed.
