The Longmont Museum is a center for culture in Northern Colorado where people of all ages explore history, experience art, and discover new ideas through dynamic programs, exhibitions, and events. The Friends of the Longmont Museum support this mission through encouraging public involvement and financial contributions to the Museum and its cultural activities.
Background Statement
There has been a lot happening at the Longmont Museum! As 2025 comes to a close, we want to thank you for your visits, donations and community support and reflect on all we’ve accomplished this year, together.
It’s hard to believe that in two short years we not only launched a capital campaign project, but also exceeded our initial funding goal and are well underway on construction of our new galleries. It’s been a whirlwind! All of that was made possible by support from you.
As we look forward to what is next, the Longmont Museum shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, the expansion is just the beginning.
In 2026 we are going to open a larger Museum that gives us the opportunity to showcase bigger feature exhibits. Our new “Dream Lab” in Lila’s Children’s Gallery will give us a year-round space for the youngest learners to explore and imagine, and the improved Museum entrance will give Museum-goers a great start to their visit.
We need your support to ensure all of these great things are here for generations to come. We have built the Museum, now we have the fun task of filling it up with amazing things!
