Testimonials

"Great community of skilled artists that share knowledge and ideas with other artists. Amazing selection of tools and classes. I took a ringmaking course under Chayse Romero and the club had everything available to continue working on the craft." Facebook review by Carlos Mañón
"If you have any interest in rocks and/or making jewelry, this club is for you! I'm so very grateful to have this place in my community. I have taken multiple classes, learned basics of lapidary and silversmithing and now I'm in at least once a week making jewelry! It's been essential for my small business (at ursa_alloys on Instagram and FB) and just a great place to hang out with fellow rock nerds. There are also great field trips for collecting and learning about geology in our local area!" Google review by Mary Mrdjenovich

Background Statement

Founded in 1947, the Four Corners Gem & Mineral Club, a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization, strives to educate and inspire interest in earth sciences and lapidary arts. The initial purpose of this organization was rock hounding: to collect and identify rocks, gems and minerals. Within a year of the Club's inception, it began to acquire lapidary equipment for its members to cut and polish stone. Inevitably this lead to acquiring a wide variety of silver smithing equipment to set those beautiful stones. Today the Club has one of the finest and fully equipped lapidary and metal arts studios in the Four Corners Region, to serve lapidary, casting, soldering, enameling, kiln firing and allied arts. It also leads field trips, offers presentations and classes, and hosts a large Gem and Mineral Show every July.
