EOC leads a statewide network to advocate for and deliver affordable energy solutions for Colorado households.
Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC) helps income-qualified Coloradans stay warm, keep the lights on, and build a more stable future. As the only statewide nonprofit that raises funds to help Coloradans afford their home energy, EOC has been keeping families safe at home since 1989.
Our programs meet people where they are, from emergency bill payment assistance and free furnace repair or replacement to energy efficiency upgrades, community solar subscriptions, and energy education. We also partner with nonprofits and multifamily properties to lower energy costs so more resources go to the communities they serve.
In 2025, EOC supported more than 40,000 households and served more than 120,000 individuals. Beyond direct help, we advocate for fair utility rates and protections against disconnection, working alongside more than 65 energy providers to make sure income-qualified households have a seat at the table.
With 1 in 4 Colorado households struggling to afford their home energy, our work has never been more important. We believe affordable energy is a right, not a privilege.
