Background Statement
Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to providing energy assistance and resources to those in need across the state. As the only statewide nonprofit that raises funds to help low-income Coloradans afford their home energy, EOC ensures people can remain safe at home.

Through a range of impactful programs and initiatives, including bill payment assistance, energy education, furnace repair and replacement, efficiency upgrades, and access to sustainable energy technologies, EOC works directly with individuals, nonprofit organizations, and multifamily properties that serve low-income communities.

Since being established in 1989, EOC has raised hundreds of millions of dollars to provide essential energy services that lower energy costs and support households facing challenges in meeting their energy needs.

EOC serves tens of thousands of Colorado households each year, reinforcing our commitment to addressing energy insecurity and advocating for equitable access to energy resources. With 1 in 4 Coloradans struggling to afford home energy and requests for help rising sharply, EOC is determined to expand its efforts to break down systemic barriers and achieve energy affordability for all.
