Background Statement
Established in 1897, Early Connections Learning Centers (Early Connections) is the oldest nonprofit early care and learning organization in Colorado. Serving approximately 440 children each day, ages 6-weeks to 14-years, our classrooms provide year-round support to our community's working families. Early Connections operates four full-day, year-round centers for infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers; half-day, school-year preschool programs; and before/after school and full-day summer programs for school-age children. In addition to our centers, we partner with a network of family child care homes, the Home Network of the Pikes Peak Region, and operate Court Care of the Pikes Peak Region, a free drop-in center at the El Paso County Courthouse.
A commitment to quality is the foundation of our organization. Our centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC); a 5 year accreditation, held by only 10% of centers nationally.
Our "whole child" approach to early care and education incorporates a proven curriculum, nutritious meals, behavioral health, and medical care, as we believe ALL children deserve access to the best start in life, regardless of their family's income level..
