1. Colorado Jazz Inc., dba Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra, is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, artistic, cultural, historical, and educational, purposes. The mission of Colorado Jazz Inc. is to provide professional jazz performance and education to the Rocky Mountain Region specifically by, but not limited to the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra (CJRO).
2. Colorado Jazz Inc. may promote, solicit and encourage contributions from individuals and entities, both private and public, of monies, personal and real property, and other objects or items of value, by donation, dedication, gift, devise, or otherwise, which said contributions might be beneficially devoted to the mission.
Founded in 2012 by bandleader, Art Bouton, with a mission to perform the best music with the best musicians, the CJRO does just that and more. Exciting world-renowned artists and many of the finest regional musicians perform anything from big band classics to contemporary large and small ensemble jazz, Latin jazz and soul while entertaining enthusiastic concert goers across Colorado. Audiences at the Arvada Center, PACE Center in Parker, Lakewood Cultural Center, Parsons Theatre in Northglenn, City Park Jazz, and beyond have heard the CJRO perform music from the greats of jazz and soul often featuring original arrangements by CJRO composers and other contemporary artists.
