Civic Center Conservancy is the nonprofit dedicated to keeping Denver's Civic Center Park active and thriving for all.
This year, we ask you to support our Community Programming Fund. Civic Center is the heart of Denver, and its people-centered programming is the heartbeat. Our Community Programming Fund ensures Civic Center Park remains active and thriving by providing financial support for our annual programs like EATS for ALL, WORKS, SPARKLES, and MOVES. Contributions to this fund also give us the opportunity to increase and introduce new community programming, provide economic incentives and staffing support to partner organizations, increase underrepresented communities’ participation and remove barriers to enjoying the heart of Denver.
Our programming includes (but is not limited to!) the following:
These programs made a splash in 2022, adding well over 3,000 extra hours of beautification to the park, providing countless meals to those who needed an accessible option at EATS, and keeping the park buzzing with activity on a daily basis. In doing so, we provided economic opportunities to those who needed a chance, business support to women and BIPOC businesses, and community building among those who gathered here.
But we can do more, and you can help.
Donations of any size to support these programs: by the community, for the community. To chat more about our work, contact Sara Leitch at sara@civiccenterpark.org.
Civic Center Conservancy is dedicated to keeping Denver's Civic Center Park active and thriving for all. As an independent nonprofit, the Conservancy engages individuals, businesses and community groups as champions for this essential public space. The Conservancy attracts people to the park, supports the park's upkeep and ensures it meets the needs of anyone who gathers there for today and for the future.
Civic Center Conservancy’s work benefits the park, the people who use the park and the future of the park.
For the Park: The Conservancy supports the Park's upkeep by raising funds to restore its historical structures, enhance its natural spaces & advocate for investment in this essential public space. We do this in partnership with the City through a public-private partnership.
For the People: The Conservancy serves as the Park's community builder, activating the space & providing opportunities for engagement year-round. Events & programs like Civic Center EATS & the Black Love Mural Festival ensure those who visit the park connect with spirit of the city & become part of its legacy. The Conservancy also engages small businesses, neighboring cultural institutions, arts organizations & other local groups in bringing diverse voices & audiences to the park.
For the Future: Spaces like Civic Center Park require a caretaker who is connected to the people who use the park, who advocates for improvements & who transforms the space to meet the needs of anyone who gathers there today & long into the future.
