About
Founded in 2004, the Boulder Chamber Orchestra stands as Boulder’s premier professional chamber ensemble. For more than two decades, we have brought exceptional performances to our community, collaborating with acclaimed musicians from around the world and inspiring audiences through intimate, transformative musical experiences.
From beloved masterworks to rarely heard treasures, our programming highlights the full spectrum of classical music, expanding awareness of underperformed repertoire and celebrating compelling voices across history.
Last season, we reached an extraordinary milestone with our Carnegie Hall debut, a moment that affirmed the artistic excellence of this orchestra and the support of the community that has grown with us.
Our mission is to promote classical musical arts and education for all. We strive to make music accessible by offering affordable concerts, welcoming new audiences, and providing opportunities for learning, participation, and artistic discovery.
We believe music is a profound language of humanity. It connects, uplifts, and reflects who we are. That belief guides every note we play.
BCO is committed to excellence. Our musicians are dedicated professionals, enriching Colorado’s cultural landscape through skill, passion, and artistry.
We invite you to be part of our musical family—whether by attending performances, volunteering, sharing our mission, or making a gift in support of our work. Together, we ensure that inspiring chamber music continues to thrive in Boulder.
