Bicycles for Humanity Colorado is a 501c3 non-profit organization that uses donated bicycles to address a fundamental barrier to development and healthcare in rural Africa.
Poor transport systems mean poor access to healthcare, education and economic opportunities — and bicycles delivered through community-based bike shops provide sustainable mobility solutions for rural Africans.
To date, we have opened eleven bike shops in partnership with communities in Namibia, Zambia, Kenya, and Tanzania

People can travel 3 times as far, 3 times as fast, and carry 3 times as much vs. being on foot. To date B4H Colorado has delivered over 22,000 bikes to small communities in Namibia, Zambia, Kenya and Tanzania; creating jobs and schools along the way.

Bicycles for Humanity Colorado is a 501(c)3 that was formed by Josh Pace, Rodd Granger, and Keenan Gates in September of 2007 to begin to form a bridge of community sharing between the front range of Colorado and healthcare workers serving those in need in Africa. We were inspired by the ability to marry personal interests and the desire to help those most marginalized in society.
