Mission

The mission of YouthSeen is to foster and empower the social and emotional well-being of BIPoC + LGBTQIA youth and their families in our communities.

YouthSeen envisions a society where young people are empowered as individuals to access non-judgmental and unbiased treatment in every aspect of their lives. We encourage the creative creation of a community that celebrates everyone’s worth, diverse characteristics and dignity.

Background Statement

YouthSeen was founded in 2017 to ensure that BIPoC + LGBTQIA youth and young adults were able to access culturally affirming mental health and wellness care. Today, we host an annual summer camp for LGBTQIA+ youth, provide case management services, mental health counseling, and offer safe spaces of joy and community for Black LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults.
