Background Statement
Every child deserves a space where learning feels joyful and belonging is real.
That is the heart of YBNeuro (Yachay Bolivia for the Neurodivergent) — a community that celebrates neurodiverse minds and helps students discover their strengths through creativity and connection.
Since 2019, YBNeuro has worked alongside families, educators, and schools to create programs that nurture learning and healing. Our work includes sensory-friendly spaces, parent workshops, and after-school clubs in art, music, design, and creative expression.
At Bryant Webster Dual Language School in Denver, our after-school program has grown into a model of inclusion and student voice. We now offer an average of twelve student-selected clubs each year, ranging from theater and martial arts to fashion design, visual arts, and robotics. Students decide what they want to learn and how they want to express themselves — and their words say it best:
“If it wasn’t for after-school clubs, I wouldn’t know what I’m good at.”
“This is where I can be myself.”
Bryant Webster serves a vibrant bilingual community where most students are English learners and many come from immigrant families. For these children, the clubs are more than enrichment — they are a space to belong, to heal, and to build confidence through culture and storytelling. Each project helps students honor their identity and transform the intergenerational wounds of racism and exclusion into pride and purpose.
Each semester, YBNeuro funds and coordinates the staffing, materials, and scholarships that make these clubs possible. Our biggest challenge is ensuring that every student who wants to join can do so, regardless of financial barriers.
This year, through our first Colorado Gives campaign, we are inviting the community to help us sponsor 135 students for the next session of after-school clubs at Bryant Webster.
A gift of $115 funds one full student sponsorship, and a monthly gift of $9.60 sustains that opportunity all year.
Your contribution builds belonging, creativity, and healing for children who see the world in extraordinary ways.
