Write on Sports Denver

Write on Sports Denver, Inc. is a literacy program designed to inspire underserved middle school students to become better writers by teaching them to write about something they love – sports!  We are a theme-based education program that provides a two-week, tuition free summer camp where students participate in classroom instruction, group activities, video and podcast production, interviews and panels with pro and college athletes and journalists. We also have a field trip to Coors Field sponsored by the Colorado Rockies which includes a private, exclusive tour, a walk onto the field and dugout and a visit to the press box where the campers interview professional journalists and Rockies personnel. Our proven Write on Sports curriculum has over 20 years of success inspiring hundreds of kids who have attended Write on Sports camps. In addition to improving communication skills, Write on Sports improves critical thinking, self-esteem and provides readiness for students as they move through high school, college and into the workforce.
