$10,000 Goal

When you give to Wings Over the Rockies, you are launching dreams of flight for future aerospace leaders! Through inspiring exhibits, immersive flight simulator experiences, engaging events, and hands-on STEAM education, you are helping build the next generation of innovators.

In the next one to two decades, the US faces a critical shortage of 123,000 pilots and 192,000 aircraft technicians. Wings Over the Rockies programs like Wings Aerospace Exploration, Drone Pilot Pathway, and Pilot Pathway equip students with real-life technical skills to go into high demand aviation and aerospace industries and fill this need.

This Colorado Gives Day, you can make programs like this possible!

Thanks to the generosity of Ray Foundation, all gifts will be matched!*

Wings Over the Rockies is dedicated to not only preserving history, but also to preparing tomorrow's aerospace professionals for the workforce. Thank you for being a valued part of this work.

* Ray Foundation is matching all donations received in 2025 up to a total of $250,000. Help us make sure we meet the match before the end of the year!

Background Statement

Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum has proudly served as Colorado’s Official Air & Space Museum since 1994. The organization is dedicated to unlocking dreams of flight through educational programming, exhibitions, and events – dreams that can spark fun, wonder, and curiosity, or can even lead directly to high-paying STEM careers.

Housed in Hangar 1 of the former Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, the Air & Space Museum boasts more than 104,000 square feet of exhibit space displaying iconic aircraft, space vehicles, artifacts, and more.

In 2018, Wings opened Exploration of Flight at Centennial Airport, one of the busiest general aviation airports in the nation. The 19,000 square foot “living hangar” offers guests unprecedented opportunities to experience flight.

Each year, these two locations welcome approximately 145,000 visitors from all 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries.
