At 16, Tess’s life changed in an instant. After a car accident and nine months in a coma, she faced a future that looked nothing like her past. But Tess didn’t give up.
With strength, community, and the right support, she rebuilt her life. She earned her certification in peer counseling and committed to living independently.
In 1987, Tess was introduced to Via Mobility Services—and everything changed again. With accessible rides, she gained the freedom to get to the gym, run errands, stay connected, and even skydive.
“Via makes me accessible to everything I want to do,” she says. “The drivers are incredible—kind, professional, and selfless.”

We envision a future where all people, regardless of age, health, disability, income, or ethnicity, have easy access to the mobility options they need to enhance their independence and quality of life.
Caring for Colorado Communities Since 1979
Via Mobility Services is a local nonprofit founded more than 40 years ago to help people with mobility limitations live more independently. We do this by providing caring and accessible transportation in Boulder, Denver, and several other counties in Colorado. Before long, we started doing more for local communities, like operating shuttle services under contract with RTD, Colorado municipalities, and local businesses. We also protect lives as a second responder by transporting Boulder County residents with mobility limitations to safety.
