The Vail Valley Mountain Trails Alliance builds, maintains, and advocates for sustainable soft surface trail systems that connect people to nature, promote stewardship, and strengthen community well-being.

How We're Using Funds This Year

• Grow and improve our Trail Stewardship Programs

• Create program experiences that provide access to the outdoors and encourage our community to get out and recreate responsibly

• Plan and implement new sustainable trail systems and trail-based recreation opportunities

• Protect and support wildlife populations through sustainable trail planning and education and outreach efforts

• Sustain a full-time seasonal Trail Conservation Crew

• Educate trail users on Leave No Trace principles and trail etiquette

• Advocate for local, state, and federal policy that supports our trails and community
