Mission

Ute Springs Experiential Learning Center empowers social-emotional leadership through adventures in nature.

At Ute Springs, we believe that everyone gains additional tools to thrive within his community from experiences in the great outdoors. Our primary goal is to elevate participants' social-emotional wellness. Ute Springs programs help kids of all ages to learn how to build trusting connections and relationships, to improve self-esteem, and to invest in personal and social leadership skills through experiential education in our shared natural environment.

Background Statement

Learning by doing creates opportunities for positive, impactful change and growth. Through experiential learning, we at Ute Springs provide participants the freedom to try new things, to step outside of their comfort zone, and to learn from their mistakes. Problem solving becomes active. Skills taught by Ute Springs impart and reinforce key global-ready skills like:

- Critical thinking and problem solving;

- Agility and adaptability;

- Curiosity and imagination;

- Accessing and analyzing information;

- Collaboration across networks and leading by influence.

Because of budgetary cuts to education at the state level, Ute Springs' curriculum is needed more now than ever.
