Mission

We believe music can help create a diverse, equitable, and healthy community. Grounded in song, our work extends into education, service, and collective healing. We offer rigorous, culturally-rooted training that confronts systemic injustice, honors historical truths, and supports personal and communal transformation. We seek to minimize the performative aspect of singing; we emphasize music as an invitation to break down generational and systemic barriers keeping us from connection. Creativity is not an afterthought—it is a vital strategy. As the needs of our community evolve, so will our approach, but our commitment to equity, health, and connection remains non-negotiable.

Background Statement

Unity Project builds healthy, equitable communities through service, education, and singing. Our work is broad: from producing concerts that pair nationally recognized artists with local voices, to leading healing‑centered cohorts, volunteering in community, partnering with schools and groups to bring arts education, and training nonprofits and leaders to foster health and equity. We currently engage over 100 community members monthly, and by season’s end will have reached more than 500 individuals. Support for general operations will fund this season’s community events: pop‑up concerts with partners such as Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, WHealthy Unlimited, Peak Education, Turman Elementary School, and the Pioneer’s Museum among others; our second annual Community Moves (highlighting singing and movement as keys to connection and health); and a Community Supper, designed to bring people together to heal and connect via song and dialogue.
