St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School in Edwards, CO was founded in 2000. The inspiration for our school comes from Cardinal Stafford who, while Archbishop of Denver, wanted all of the children in the Vail Valley to have the opportunity for a Catholic education.
We pride ourselves in rigorous academics which follow the Archdiocese of Denver Curriculum Standards. We embrace a challenging, safe, and nurturing environment that enriches the heart, mind, and soul for life. The values that we teach and practice are respect, responsibility, and reverence. Graduates from St. Clare are active in their faith, are positive philanthropic participants in our community, and ready to face all academic challenges they will encounter in their future.
St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School commits to developing in students a love for all that is true, good, and beautiful. As disciples of Jesus Christ, our students discover the joy of learning and of serving others in a nurturing academic environment.
Our Catholic faith is the cornerstone of St. Clare School. We believe that each person is created in the image and likeness of God for a special purpose. This realization is what builds true self-esteem and gives meaning to our lives.

Following the curriculum of the Archdiocese of Denver, students learn Catholic values and basic skills necessary for life. Learning opportunities include direct, differentiated, and small group instruction.
Through study of the faith, active participation in liturgies and the sacramental life of the parish, students experience God’s unconditional love for them. They are encouraged and provided with opportunities to serve others in order to practice their faith and extend God’s love into the larger community.
Students at St. Clare School are taught how to develop love of God, love of learning, love of themselves and love for others. Throughout their school career they are helped to discover their gifts and talents, and have opportunities to develop them in a variety of ways. Students learn to communicate well, think critically, take responsibility for their choices and actions, and begin to understand the importance of being well-informed and faith-filled contributing members of an ever-changing world.
