Tilting the Conversation
Tilt West is Denver’s hub for community exchange, critical dialogue, and provocative conversations on art, ideas, and culture.
Our live roundtable events are unmoderated, non-hierarchical discussions on pre-determined topics. Each season, we curate a series of conversations which coalesce around a common theme. The theme for our tenth season (Fall 2025/Spring 2026) is CHANGE.
Our publication efforts – commissioned articles and creative projects – expand the conversation around these critical topics. The insights and networks that emerge through our events and publications serve as catalysts for further exchange and action. Our program connects, promotes, and amplifies the creative community in Colorado.
Support Us, Support Local Artists
We are committed to supporting artists, writers, thinkers, and all cultural workers who help make Colorado an interesting and inspiring place to be. We pay all of our roundtable prompters and commissioned artists and writers for their creative work.
As a small, volunteer run organization, your donation passes through directly to the art community that we serve. In the past nine seasons, we have hosted 41 roundtables, paying the prompters for each. In addition, through our publishing efforts, we've commissioned 50 written pieces on Medium.com and published four print journals. Over the past three seasons, 82% of our revenue went directly back into the Denver art community as artist stipends and food and drink for our events.
Season of Change
The theme for our 10th Season is CHANGE. This year invites us to reflect on what has shifted over the past decade - in our lives, the world, and our art communities - and what we hope to see in the next ten years. We are excited to host a season of roundtables and programs exploring transformation in all its forms: adaptation, reinvention, resilience, and the creative and societal shifts that shape our cultural landscape.
Your support this season will help us with our expanded programming - including five roundtables, six commissioned works, and a new community collaboration. Every donation helps us continue to grow our offerings and bring more thought-provoking, inspiring conversations to Denver.
Membership
All of our donors become an integral part of our community. As a donor member, you’re automatically added to our early-bird invite list for upcoming roundtables—making it even easier to secure your spot at future events. In addition, you will receive invitations to exclusive member events, such as gallery and museum tours, to show our appreciation and build community.
For Colorado Gives Day, consider joining us at a level to sponsor our programs for the upcoming season and ensure our funding for next season:
$350 supports one prompter or artist stipend
$100 supports one live roundtable event
Any amount is appreciated, and we hope you can join the conversation!
Tilt West’s mission is to promote critical discourse focused on arts and culture through live events and publishing efforts. We aim to provide a platform for inclusive community discussion and debate on a range of issues relevant to cultural production in Colorado and beyond.
