Three Things

Three Things is a Denver-based nonprofit dedicated to helping people heal, connect, and strengthen their emotional wellbeing through storytelling, music, and guided reflection. Our work focuses on creating safe, accessible spaces where people of all ages can process their experiences, share their stories, and build healthier relationships with themselves and their communities.

Three Things was co-founded and is led by Saxon Kincy and Brittany Ballard, two longtime creatives and educators deeply committed to community healing.Saxon — also known as the rapper Old Man Saxon — brings years of experience working with youth, teaching hip-hop, and using music as a tool for self-expression and personal growth. His work centers emotional honesty, imagination, and the power of owning your story.

Brittany Ballard is a writer, producer, and the creator/host of The Unsent Show, where people read letters they wrote but never sent. Her background in storytelling, writing, and community engagement fuels the heart of Three Things: making space for truth, vulnerability, and connection.

Together, Saxon and Brittany lead Three Things’ core programs:

• The Unsent Show – a live event and podcast where people share the messages they never sent

• Healing Futures – a hip-hop and songwriting program helping youth imagine and build meaningful futures

• 3rd Act Life Reviews – guided personal interviews that help older adults reflect on and preserve their life stories
