Thompson Valley Preschool grew out of the foresight of a Community Action Outreach Program formed in 1970 for single parents and migrant families in the Loveland community. The program evolved into Thompson Valley Preschool (TVP) in 1973 to fulfill a need for an affordable preschool program specifically serving low income and at-risk families. Over the years, TVP has increased its capabilities to include summer, parenting, and outreach programs to better serve the families as a whole.
Thompson Valley Preschool continues to maintain its initial philosophy of providing affordable access to a quality preschool program promoting school readiness. The preschool offers classes for 90 children ages 3-5 years. On average, over 65% of the families are of lower income and receive tuition assistance.
