$20,000 Goal

Our herd of rescued horses and trained volunteers help people, 12 and older, who are struggling with any emotional, mental or relational challenge. We work with individuals, couples, families or groups of any kind.

Our equine-assisted-learning sessions are very different than traditional talk therapy.  They engage all the senses, are hands-on and interactive, and therefore lead to greater life impact and offer immediate results.

Mental health struggles are increasing, as is the cost of traditional talk therapy.  We offer our sessions for a nominal fee of $35 per session for 1-2 people, and $50 for 3-4 people, and an additional $10 for each additional person.

This organization runs almost entirely on individual donations given by people like you! Please consider supporting us today.

ALL donations go directly towards the running of this ministry, feeding the horses and offering scholarships to anybody who can't afford the nominal fee. We don't want money to get in the way of anybody receiving the help they need!

So we need your help!

Testimonials

When I first began sessions at The Son and Reins Ranch, I had no friends, my ex-husband had full custody of our children, I was barely making ends meet and often had suicidal thoughts. That was 7 months ago.
Up until 4 months ago, I had been in traditional counselling for 3 years, but after just a couple months of doing EAL (equine-assisted-learning) sessions with Son and Reins, I experienced more self-awareness, relational understanding, boundaries, and overall healing, then I had in all my years of regular therapy.
As I worked with the horses and did the EAL activities, I realized that my issues, fears, wounds, lies I had been believing, insecurities, poor boundaries, anger, and so much more, were coming to the surface and becoming more tangible. As this happened, rather than being all the more frightened or overwhelmed, I realized it was the opposite because now I could put my finger on things, face reality not just feelings, and gain perspective and a sense of control.
More than any other time in my life, I have experienced healing and wholeness, and a sense of confidence and hope like never before. Also for the first time, I'm learning about God in a way that makes sense and is relevant to me and my life. Now I have new friends, both human and horse friends, and I'm even learning that God wants to be my friend too. This is amazing to me.
I am so thankful to Sharron and her team of volunteers and horses!! In such a short amount of time my life has been changed for the good. I'm excited about life, and it's been years since I was last able to honestly say that. ~ K.M.
