Who We Are

At The Traveling Gnomes, we believe adventure is more than a destination - it’s a pathway into confidence, connection, wonder, and a deeper sense of self. We create inclusive travel experiences for individuals ages 6 and up with neurodiversities and disabilities.

We offer two types of services: Day trips - adventures closer to home, within a three-hour radius of Denver. And, Overnight trips - excursions across the country and around the world that range from quick 2-day/1-night getaways to 8-day/7-night explorations.

Airports. Mountain trails. Festival crowds. New cities. We hold them all with the same intention: that every space should feel welcoming. And on every trip, we show what real inclusion looks like. Whether we’re discovering a hidden neighborhood café or navigating a terminal on the way to a new state, our Travelers are supported, celebrated, and encouraged to grow every single step.

Our Approach 

The Traveling Gnomes fill a gap that few organizations take on: real, meaningful, beautifully human travel, led by a team that centers dignity and autonomy above all else. We walk alongside our Travelers, not in front, not behind, as they learn to navigate the world in their own way, with their own voice. Our team plans with intention, leads with heart, and believes in belonging.

How Your Support Makes an Impact

1. Scholarships:  Adventure should never be out of reach. As costs rise and supports shift, financial barriers can quietly close doors. Your support opens those doors wide, offering scholarships so every Traveler, no matter their income, has access to the world.
2. Stability: In a world full of unknowns, your support strengthens our reserve fund so we can meet seasonal changes with steadiness, care for our staff, and keep our services strong and dependable all year long.
3. Accessibility: Your contribution helps us invest in adaptive tools, thoughtful planning, and environments that honor every body and every need. From accessible lodging to transportation to equipment that supports all of our Travelers, your support ensures each journey is welcoming and designed with intention.

We would love to send you a thank-you card and keep you updated on the impact of your gift. If you’d like us to do that, please avoid selecting “Completely Anonymous”. When that option is chosen, we aren’t given any contact information, which means we can’t send a thank-you note.

You can still remain anonymous to the public by choosing “Hide my name from the public donor list” instead. This allows your gift to stay private while still sharing your contact information with us for acknowledgment. Thank you!
