The Skating Club of Vail Inc

Skating Club Vail (SCV) was founded in 1976.  We are located in beautiful Vail, Colorado.

We are the second oldest youth sports organization in this Valley.   

We have PSA and Master rated coaches, who are also Gold Level certified ISI Judges.  Skaters that have grown up as members of SCV, have now come back as coaches for our club!

We offer generous scholarships for our members.  We have scholarships for various skating levels including both recreational and competitive skaters, and participants in our annual ice show, helping them continue to pursue their passion and growth in the sport.

We offer year-round programming, such as small group classes and summer camps, focusing on both technical skill and artistry.

We help our skaters develop skills like discipline, resilience, confidence, creativity, and teamwork, on and off the ice.

We would like to continue grow our membership so that we may serve as a next step and feeder program for our valley’s two Learn to Skate programs.

Our distinguished Ice Show delights both locals and visitors year-after-year.  Skaters of all ages and abilities participate.  The show has everything from solo to duet and group numbers, thus giving skaters that often compete individually the chance to perform together!

We have successfully hosted the Vail Invitational skating competition each summer for over 40 years!

We recently partnered with Summit Skating Club to form a high school team, Team Peak Fusion, which has competed in Denver for the past two years. While many teens step away from youth sports, the high school team offers a fun way to stay engaged in skating. Athletes work together to earn points across different elements, building both skills and camaraderie.

SCV members have competed locally, regionally and nationally, and several graduating members have gone on to skate for Disney on Ice.

We are a volunteer-run organization.

We rely on community support and fundraising for our all our amazing programs.
