Whether we are rolling up our sleeves or opening our wallets, Kiwanians make transformative changes in communities around the world. Kiwanis club members worldwide host around 150,000 service projects and complete 18.5 million service hours a year. Every year, Kiwanis clubs raise more than US$100 million to support different causes at the local level – in addition to supporting our Kiwanis International Children’s Fund.The Glenwood Spring Kiwanis Club has been existence  for over 82 years .  We are know for getting things done such as building and maintaining Veltus Park, providing bike racks and supporting local non profits, we provide scholarships for local students and have Key Clubs at GWS High School and Basalt High School.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

Background Statement

Our club was charted in 1944. Our members are active in the community and support the local schools and their students through scholarships, and youth services and activities, along with multiple non-profits that support early literacy, developmental needs, and the well-being of children in our region.
