Telluride Historical Museum

A nonprofit organization

The Telluride Historical Museum is a small museum with big ambitions. Help us keep Telluride's rich history and heritage alive and vibrant for current and future generations of residents, guests, and visitors to the region.

This year, your gift will support one of our exciting new initiatives:

Collections Storage Upgrades:
For years, the Museum has stored a number of its artifacts at an offsite facility over 60 miles away.  That will change in 2023, as we will be moving that offsite collection to a new, better facility much closer to home.  Your gift can help support the move by allowing us to purchase new shelving and storage materials and help fund the move itself, and the ongoing care and maintenance of our artifact collection.

IT Upgrades:
The Museum calls the historic Hall's Hospital home.  Built in 1896, it sometimes feels like we're still using the original IT equipment.  Your gift can help us purchase updated computer and phone equipment, so that our tools better match our ambitions.

Educational Programs:
The Museum has long been known for its hands-on, minds-on, fun, and educational/school field trip programming.  This programs are typically offered to the community for little or no cost.  Your gift can help ensure that the programs remain free or low-cost and help us purchase supplies for, make upgrades to, and introduce new offerings alongside our current programming slate.

Spanish Language Translation:
The Museum strives to be a welcoming organization of our entire community of guests.  To help decrease barriers to participation/visitation and allow Spanish-speaking members of the community to feel more comfortable at the Museum, we are currently working translating our gallery companion audio tour and interpretive panels to Spanish.  Your gift can help make this ambitious project a reality.

If any of these initiatives tickles your fancy, please let us know and we will allocate your donation to fund of your choice.

As always, the only way we can even dream of completing exciting projects like these is because of the incredibly generous support of people like you!

Thank you and we hope to see you at your Museum soon!
