Out Boulder County

A nonprofit organization

OVERVIEW

Out Boulder County is Colorado's leading LGBTQ+ resource center. With programming available in Boulder, Weld, Broomfield, and Larimer counties, as well as statewide advocacy and legislation projects, we offer life-changing services for LGBTQ+ community members and their loved ones. Our many community events and partnerships also provide celebration, education, and training to LGBTQ+ communities and the public at large. See the "Impact" tab to learn more.

GET INVOLVED

The LGBTQ+ community, with the help of our families and allies, is farther along the road to equality than ever before. But we can't stop here. Show your love and support for LGBTQ+ communities by making a gift in any amount today.

Change A Life

Your compassion makes a difference in the lives of people everyday. Whether you donate online or volunteer with us, your generosity is greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU!

Why give to Out Boulder County?

You improve lives. Your compassion brings joy and connection to over 20,000 of your LGBTQ+ neighbors. Your gift helps LGBTQ+ communities be stronger, safer, and prouder.

Your gift goes to work immediately. Your generosity provides support groups, mental health services, youth development, and life-changing resources found nowhere else.

You empower youth. LGBTQ+ youth are much more likely to suffer from depression, bullying, and suicidal thoughts than their peers. You make all the difference by creating affirming spaces where kids can be themselves and be celebrated for being who they are.

You build a brighter future. Your commitment to LGBTQ+ equality is just the beginning. Together, we're ensuring that the next generation experiences lives full of love, acceptance, and protection.

Your impact goes further. Helping people who have been hurt by discrimination isn't enough. Your generosity translates to education and advocacy at the local and state level to change laws and policies.

We All Belong Here: Out Boulder County's History

Founded in 1994 as Boulder Pride, Out Boulder County began as a small collective of people who wished to organize a Boulder LGBTQ+ Pride event. As the community grew, so did the need for the organization to broaden its purpose.

In 1998, we secured a community center and began offering services year-round. The organization changed its name to Out Boulder in 2010 to better reflect the broad range of events, programs, and services being offered.

In recognition of the ever-larger region and diverse populations being served, in 2016 Out Boulder became Out Boulder County. Soon after, it became clear that it was once again time to grow our organization and facility in order to meet the needs of the community. In 2022 Out Boulder County moved into the Equality Center of the Rocky Mountains at 3340 Mitchell Lane in Boulder.

We invite you to join us in our mission!

Mission

Working independently and in collaboration, we facilitate connection, advocacy, education, research and programs to ensure LGBTQ+ people and communities thrive in Boulder County and beyond.
