Street Soccer USA (SSUSA) harnesses the power of soccer to fight poverty and build community across differences. By pairing high-energy soccer with social-emotional learning focused on community, teamwork, resilience, and goal-setting, SSUSA Denver engages with communities across the region and brings the game to the heart of the Mile High City year-round at the Street Soccer pitch at Skyline Park (16th & Arapahoe). SSUSA Denver partners with the City of Denver and Denver Parks and Rec to revitalize the neighborhood by creating a safe space anchored in access to community wellness, physical activity, life-skills development, and social support.
In 2026 alone, SSUSA Denver partnered with the Colorado Rapids and the Downtown Denver Partnership to host 50,000+ guests at the 2026 Soccer Celebration at Skyline Park – a series of 100+ free community watch parties celebrating the world’s sport and bringing the Denver community together around the FIFA World Cup, the biggest tournament on Earth. Through SSUSA Denver’s free programming, 1,903 athletes have already laced up with us, including 441 kids and teens under 18, many of whom are building a sense of belonging, confidence, and opportunity on the pitch.
Programming:
Homeless World Cup: This program uses team-based training environments to help young adults 16+ navigate transitions out of homelessness or addiction, providing a welcoming, supportive network for personal transformation, mentorship, and vital mental health resources, and supporting Denver athletes in trying out for the national team to represent the USA on the global stage.
Unity Cups: Citywide Street Soccer tournaments bring together players from all backgrounds and cultures to celebrate community and foster belonging and connection through the beautiful game. Street Soccer Skills: Street Soccer clinics and community-based clubs offer skill-building, mentorship, and social-emotional training during critical after-school hours, hosted at the Skyline Park pitch and in communities across Metro Denver.

Street Soccer USA was founded in 2009 by two brothers out of a homeless soup kitchen in Charlotte, NC. That single team has grown into a national non-profit organization in 16 cities (and growing), helping over 75,000 players in some of the country’s most-challenged neighborhoods.
