Stillwater Music is Durango's Community Music School!

For 20 years, we’ve been building community through music, performance, and play. We make music accessible to everyone—regardless of age, ability, or income—and create spaces where creativity, confidence, and connection can flourish.

Together with the Be Frank Foundation, we’re now expanding our reach—bringing music to more students, schools, and communities than ever before. 

This year, we’ve shared the joy of music with nearly 1,500 students in 23 locations—and with your support, we can reach even more!

Your gift brings music to life for youth, families, and people of all abilities through:

• Band & Orchestra programs – Kids, teens, and adults learn, perform, and build friendships that last a lifetime.

• Scholarships – Ensuring every child can access high-quality music instruction, regardless of financial need. This year, 78 students (and counting!) received over $43,000 in assistance that makes musical dreams come true.

• In-school programs – Reaching students from Durango to Pagosa Springs, Mancos, and the Ute Mountain Ute and Southern Ute Reservations.

• Inclusive Music programs – Bringing people with and without disabilities together to learn, play, and perform—the only program of its kind in the Four Corners!
