Background Statement

The Steamboat Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its 31st Anniversary Season this year!

Founded in 1991 by retired principal flutist, Mary Beth Norris as a community orchestra, the SSO has grown to a full-sized symphony orchestra offering three concerts/year, robust educational opportunities, and community outreach.
