At Steamboat Christian Academy, our goal is to build leaders who love God and love people by instilling excellence in faith, academics, and stewardship. We seek to challenge and inspire students through a robust education that fosters curiosity, character, and critical thinking. Our educational philosophy is rooted in a biblical worldview and is both classical and hands-on. We endeavor to nurture within our students an appetite and affection for that which is true, good, and beautiful.
Our students also engage deeply with their community by serving others, including veterans and the elderly, while experiencing life in the Yampa Valley as an adventure. From outings to a working cattle ranch and Howelsen Hill to fossil digs, Yampatika programs, and more, students have opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, serve their neighbors, and experience the beauty and richness of the community around them.
We honor parents as the primary influences in their children’s lives and consider it a privilege to partner with them in the education and formation of their children. Steamboat Christian Academy’s mission is to glorify God by providing an excellent academic environment rooted in the Word of God so that students grow to understand their unique identity in Christ Jesus. They will develop their God-given talents and be challenged to use them in the academic environment, community, and beyond as leaders for Christ. Students will engage in critical thinking through a biblical lens, explore curiosities, and live intentionally with enthusiasm for Christ.
