The Plaza Block Building Project

Our immediate focus is partnering with the Urban Renewal Authority of La Junta to save and renovate the historic Plaza Block Building. Once renovated, this landmark building will provide:

  • Public space for creative activities and arts programming
  • A commercial kitchen for cooking and nutrition classes
  • Art classroom
  • Display space for local artists
  • Venue space for community events

Our current fundraising focus is on furnishing the building's commercial kitchen, art room, office, meeting spaces, and other essential equipment.
