Quality: We work with 150+ local and touring musicians who deliver professional-level performances to older adult audiences, improving quality of life and social networks in participating senior care communities
Quantity: We organize 40+ performances per month for facilities and other groups, engagements that, without Sound Affects’ grant funding and donations, would not otherwise be possible
Variety: We specialize in arranging a variety of styles to suit a large range of individual needs - Jazz to Rock to Bluegrass and Americana - main events to mood music for any occasion
Personalization: We provide 1-1 programs like Artist Residencies and Musical Telegrams to provide isolated individuals with opportunities to form connections with local artists
Sound Affects music programming connects professional musicians with underserved adults living in care facilities or at home. Through live performance, one-on-one residencies, and advocacy, Sound Affects meets the needs of those who are prone to isolation and who cannot access public music in the ways that they wish.
Sound Affects is an evolving platform for both underserved adults and musicians to use music to engage in their larger community and to experience mutual and lifelong esteem.
