Soul Stories hosts workshops and events that utilize personal storytelling, dialogue and play to improve social connection and mental well-being for all participants. We have facilitated over 175 workshops and events that have impacted 6,000+ participants and built a Mental Wellness Storytelling Curriculum that has reached 500 students so far. We work with community organizations, nonprofits and schools throughout the Metro Denver area and are always looking for new partnerships!
Soul Stories began in 2013 when Founder, Danny Mazur, experienced a serious trauma in his life. He felt isolated, alone and that he was struggling to cope. This inspired him to invite people over to have vulnerable discussions about what was going on in their lives. He realized how social connection is an essential aspect of healing. What began as a small group of friends, has developed into a 501(c)3 community organization that seeks to support the social, emotional and mental health needs of Denver and all surrounding areas. Countless volunteers have dedicated their emotions, creativity, and work ethic to make Soul Stories what it is today.
This past year we received our 501(c)3, created our first governance board and received $11,500 in grant funding from the Rose Community Foundation to continue to serve under resourced youth!
