Background Statement

Social Good Fund was founded in 2012 with the goal of reducing barriers around securing fiscal sponsorship.

Please see a note from our Founder and Executive Director, Michael Pace:

It is my sincere and deepest wish that each of us work to create a world where we find health, safety, happiness, joy, and fulfillment. Many years ago, when I first attempted to create a non-profit, I sought out fiscal sponsorship from other organizations, but was met with delay and restriction, as I had to meet specific criteria, or wait several months until the Board of Directors convened to review sponsorship applications. As a result, much of the momentum to conduct charitable efforts dissipated and so much time was lost.

Because of that experience, I decided that I wanted to open the doors for everyone who wants to create their own vision. If we want the world to be a better place, we should make it easy to do so. We should remove every barrier possible and allow people to put their efforts where their hearts and minds are-without delay.

But making it easy for you to get started is just the beginning. As SocialGood grows, we want to make it even easier for those who decide to better the world to succeed in their efforts. We aim to provide services that give you the best chance possible to fulfill your goals and vision. We must do this together, so I invite you, whether you are a seasoned organizer, or have yet to begin, to take the next step and let us help you create something positive for the world.
