Help us meet our goal of $20,000!
Today, we face an immediate and unexpected challenge: Slow Food Denver has experienced the loss of significant operational grant funding. This critical gap directly jeopardizes the continuity and full capacity of our most vital community offering: the Seed to Plate Program.
The Seed to Plate Program offers impact-driven classes that address inequalities within the community while inspiring lifelong habits. Students are transformed from passive consumers into creators through hands-on, learner-driven experiences in the kitchen and garden. They master the entire seed-to-plate process, receive a weekly nutritious meal with fresh, local produce, and are empowered with the tools needed to support lifelong nutritious eating habits.
Without immediate intervention through community support this Colorado Gives Day, we face the devastating reality of reducing classes and cutting the essential educational and nutritional support that empowers vulnerable Denver youth and their families.
The Seed to Plate Program is our commitment to the future. It provides impact-driven, hands-on food education in the garden and kitchen, ensuring students receive a weekly meal with fresh, local produce while inspiring lifelong, healthy habits. Your gift is a direct investment in keeping these essential classes alive:
A gift of $25 provides one student with a cooking class
A contribution of $50 helps to cover the cost of food necessary for one cooking class.
A commitment of $300 provides funding for one student to attend the Seed to Plate Class for one full term, guaranteeing them access to weekly meals and education.
A major investment of $3,000 fully funds an entire class for a full term.
Adopt a School for $10,000 - this amount will fund a Seed to Plate class for an entire school year!
