Skinner families and supporters near and far,

We are grateful for you visiting this page and for your support of Skinner Middle School. Skinner is a diverse community of learners where our staff and students are engaged in a single-minded pursuit of high academic achievement for all.

This Colorado Gives Day campaign is our main fundraiser for the Skinner community. Every dollar raised goes toward the programs that enable our kids to enjoy a fulfilling educational experience at Skinner.

We are grateful for any contribution you can make toward our goal.

This Year’s Skinner Budget Wish List:

  • Classroom Smart Boards (education experience) - One-time Purchase

  • Field trips (education experience) - Annual Expense

  • Outdoor games (social emotional) - One-time Purchase

  • Core Plus Program support (education experience) - Annual Expense

In addition to these specific items, here are just a few examples of how the Skinner PTO helps support our students and teachers:

  • Funding Programs and Staff to Support Social Emotional Needs for Skinner Students
  • Teacher Grants for Classroom Innovation Not Funded by the District
  • Teacher & Staff Appreciation Events
  • Support for Clubs and Athletics

See more information on each of these efforts below by scrolling to Organization Data and then click Programs on the left side.

The Skinner PTO Annual Give through CO Gives day is our annual once a year fundraiser, and we are asking you to donate to make all of this possible. We are truly grateful for the support that this community shows our students.

It is important to note that spending to support any of the above listed programs is entirely dependent on how much money is raised and working with the school on timing and feasibility. Some projects may require a multi-year roll-out depending on funding.

Thank you for your support,

The Skinner PTO Parent Volunteers

** Can't give much today? Consider a smaller amount as a monthly recurring donation. New recurring donations will be still be matched by Colorado Gives Foundation up to $100 per month for the first $250,000 in donations **

Mission

The Skinner Middle School PTO's mission is to support the teachers, students and families of Skinner so that we can make everyone feel included and achieve at a high level.

Background Statement

Skinner is a traditional, comprehensive neighborhood middle school built around the needs and interests of middle school children. At Skinner, we are laser-focused on helping all students succeed academically. Our focus and priority is growth. Whether it’s pushing students who are proficient to the advanced level, or closing gaps for our most struggling learners, we build our schedule and programming to meet the needs of all our learners.

Skinner provides enrichment experiences and higher-level work to students who are at grade level, as well as students who are advanced and performing above grade level. We also spend significant attention to our most struggling students so they too can attain grade-level proficiency. Our teachers work intensely with our students to reach their full potential.

The PTO helps support the school through fundraising, leading teacher appreciation efforts and coordinating volunteers. We work in collaboration with school administration and teachers to provide the best learning environment for our children.

We meet once a month and have jobs large and small that could use your help! See the weekly newsletter or email the address below for more information on how to GET INOLVED!
