$5,000 Goal

Since 2012 Seed Studio has inspired our community to connect and create through art. Accessibility to our programming is paramount. As of July 2026 Seed Studio has provided more than 45 families with more than $7,500 in financial aid this year. Our studio welcomes all backgrounds through scholarships for any family in need. Our small part-time teachers create a space where everyone feels like they belong.

We have something for every age — from Seedlings Playshops (ages 3–5) and after-school clubs (K–5), to teen programs like Leaders In Training Experience (LITE) and the Artist's Pathway for teens. Adults are invited to engage in local artist workshops and fun artcentric events.

Everything we do is rooted in mindfulness and the joy of making. We slow down, stay present, and let creativity unfold — building confidence, problem-solving, and collaboration along the way. No competition, no pressure. Just making things together.

Mission

Planting seeds of mindfulness, creativity, and self-expression through ART.

VISION STATEMENT

Our art programs are rooted in fine art principles, combined with contemporary trends, and loaded with individual expression. The significance to our programs are that we place great value in collaboration over competition. We pride ourselves on curating an innovative art curriculum that grows with each person that blends mindfulness practices with a deep appreciation for our place in the natural world.

Background Statement

THE SEED STUDIO APPROACH

HIGH QUALITY MATERIALS

Each week we dabble with different media, blending high-quality materials with reusable and recycled ones when we can. Our "wall" of materials that we pull from for our projects includes oil pastels, liquid watercolors, acrylic paints, heavyweight paper, clay, glazes, print-making tools, and more.

MULTIPLE UNIQUE PROJECTS

Students create original and unique fine art projects, guided by a mix of open-ended and guided lessons. We have been known to take on some pretty ambitious projects, so clear some wall and shelf space!

LOW TEACHER/STUDENT RATIO

Each artist feels encouraged and challenged as we strive to maintain a ratio of 1:10.

BENEFITS OF SEED STUDIO CLASSES

We want our students to see themselves as progressive, successful creative learners and as unique individuals. We focus on teaching each person according to his, her, or their own strengths. All students get to progress at their own pace and honor where they are in their creative process.

Middle school and high school students have the opportunity to serve as mentors and to take leadership roles with Seed's Leadership in Training and Education (LITE) program that is offered year-round. The spirit of cooperation and caring makes it possible for them to help each other as individuals not see each other as competitors.

IT'S YOUR ART

Yes! All of the art created in our studio is each individual's piece--no meddling pencil strokes of a teacher. It's amazing what can be accomplished with a little guidance and enthusiasm!
