Background Statement
Our rescue is based in Colorado Springs, CO, which is where all the horses go to be rehabbed and/or refed. Once the horse is healthy enough for a training evaluation they are sent to our training facility in Pueblo, CO where we are partnered with Serendipity Equine Training. Here horses are evaluated and either put into training or listed for adoption! We have a no sell clause and an easy adoption process to ensure potential adopters feel welcome and educated about finding their forever partner. Safe Landing is also committed to offering humane euthanasia for the horses that are not adoption or sanctuary candidates.
We are willing to take in any horse that our funding permits, regardless of age, breed, gender or discipline.
Our rescue intake changes from year to year, but on average we are helping about 75 horses annually, whether that be adoptions, sanctuary or euthanize. We strive to make sure every horse is evaluated by our trainer so we can find them an appropriate home.
Safe Landing has been a registered 501(C)3 since 2015 and has helped save almost *** horses since its founding.
