Background Statement
Founded in 2003 in Chicago, Safe Families for Children (SFFC) has become an international community-based movement. Located in 70 cities across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and beyond, we are motivated by faith to keep children safe and families together. SFFC partners with hundreds of churches, local community agencies, volunteer families, and government organizations to walk with parents facing social isolation to keep children safe and families together.
Safe Families for Children established chapters in Colorado beginning in 2019. The Pikes Peak Chapter serves Colorado Springs and the counties of El Paso and Teller. The Denver Metro Chapter focuses on the five metro area counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglass, and Jefferson. The Northern Colorado Chapter serves Larimer and parts of Weld County.
