Safe Places for Women Inc

Safe Places for Women is a faith-based, non-profit organization serving adult women who have experienced complex trauma associated with human trafficking and sexual exploitation and may be experiencing substance use and mental health challenges. 

Our transitional living program is set up to provide individualized support to the women who enter for up to two years. This gives them a chance to be alone and quiet with their thoughts, and have a safe space to make goal-oriented decisions about the future. While with us, residents will be provided with services such as assessment, targeted case management, addiction recovery, therapy using trauma-informed and trauma-focused techniques, job training, peer support, legal assistance, and higher education opportunities. Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care drive our day-to-day programming and operations. Safe Place for Women seeks to walk the survivor-led journey from rescue to independent living. Working on a collective campus with mission-minded partners allows us to share resources and make a scalable impact, reaching more women at a time. We receive trusted survivor referrals from across the country through front-line organizations and national human trafficking hotlines.
