Last fiscal year over 450 local volunteers in the Society of St Vincent de Paul, Denver Metro Council helped over 21,000 individuals with rent, utilities, food, clothing, eldercare and other types of assistance. Every dollar donated to the Society is used locally to help our neighbors in need.

Inspired by Gospel values, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person human services to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of it's founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and partron, St. Vincent de Paul.
Background Statement
The first Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference (chapter) was established in Denver in 1878 and the Society has maintained a strong presence in the human services arena in Denver for the past 139 years. Although the Society is based on the philosophy and work of two prominent Catholics, the services are provided without regard to age, sex, race, creed, handicapping conditions, or place of origin. There are no spiritual obligations on the part of or expectations of those receiving any form of assistance.
